Intended Use

The Feline Panleukopenia (Parvovirus) Antigen Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of Feline Parvovirus antigen (FPV Ag) in cat’s feces.

Principle

The Feline Panleukopenia (Parvovirus) AntigenRapid Test is based on sandwich lateral flowimmuno-chromatographic assay. The test devicehas a testing window for the observation of assayrunning and result reading. The testing window hasan invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zonebefore running the assay. When the treated samplewas applied into the sample hole on the device, theliquid will laterally flow through the surface of the teststrip and react with the pre-coated monoclonalantibodies. If there is FPV Ag in the specimen, avisible T line will appear. The C line should alwaysappear after a sample is applied, which indicates avalid result. By this means, the device can accuratelyindicate the presence of FPV Ag in the specimen.

Storage and Stability

The kit can be stored at room temperature (4-30°C). The test kit is stable through the expiration date marked on the package label. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not store the test kit in direct sunlight.

Test Procedure

1. Collect cat’s fresh feces with the cotton swab fromcat’s anus after defecation or from the ground.

2. Insert the swab into the provided assay buffer tube.Agitates it to get efficient sample extraction.

3. Take out the test device from the foil pouch andplace it horizontally.

4. Suck the treated sample extraction from the assaybuffer tube and place 3 drops into the sample hole ofthe test device.

5. Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 10minutes is considered as invalid.

NOTE: If the liquid will not flow through the surfaceof the test strip in 30 seconds, please add anotherdrop of the treated sample extraction.

Results Interpretation

- Positive (+): The presence of both “C” line and zone“T” line, no matter if “T” line is clear or vague.- Negative (-): Only clear C line appears. No “T” line.- Invalid: No colored line appears in “C” zone. Nomatter if “T” line appears.

Precautions

- All reagents must be at room temperature beforerunning the assay.

- Do not remove test cassette from its pouch untilimmediately before use.

- Do not use the test beyond its expiration date.

- The components in this kit have been qualitycontrol tested as standard batch unit. Do not mixcomponents from different lot numbers.

- All specimens are of potential infection. It must betreated according to the local rules and regulations.

Limitations

Feline Panleukopenia (Parvovirus) Antigen Rapid Test is for in vitro veterinary diagnosis use only. All results should be considered with other clinical information available from veterinarians. It is suggested to apply a further confirmative method when positive results are observed.
